Thomson gateway router

I have a Thomson Gateway Wireless Router which works great as long as the phone dosent ring!!
when the phone rings i often lose complete connection but it resumes after 30 seconds or so after i hang up the phone although sometimes i can still use insant messaging.
any ideas what could be causing this ? the router is only a few weeks old.

The first thing to check is the microfilter - I assume you have one fitted? The filter should plug into the phone socket, then the router cable and the phone plug into the filter. Filters can fail, so try a new one, or try one of <a href="http://www.adslnation.com/products/xte2005.php">these</a>, which are generally highly rated.

Thanks Denzil for your help i think that is what the problem was, the filter must have been faulty.
