Thomson TG585

I have tried unsuccessfully to set up three  of these wireless routers to work wirelessly with lap tops and have failed miserably each time.
Has any one else had the similar problems?
If so, what did you do to solve it?
I have come to the conclusion that the WEP/PSK settings just don't work with some wireless lap top cards. I usually  have intel proset hardware and software on lap tops. I also had trouble with some talk talk supplied routers on Plus Net lines. The only way i can get the wireless to work is disable all security then it defeats the point of the secure settings.
Any help gratefully recieved.

What wireless laptop card do you use -
I set A Netgear PC card up to work with this router with no problem.

Re: Thomson TG585

The one I was on yesterday has built in wireless; says; Intel Proset technology. 2200 BG
But have tried other wireless enabled Lap tops and they wont work either.
mine works fine with any other wireless router.

Re: Thomson TG585

It might be an idea to try changing the wireless channel that the router uses.
