I've been having a problem getting my Windows 7 laptop with WMC installed to connect to my Xbox 360 using the 8-digit code that the console provides as an extender, I've reset the router numerous times and disabled the firewall on the router to eliminate any interference and still have not got anywhere.
I have Googled the topic to death and have discovered that this same problem is not limited to just me but alas no solution seems to have been posted, some of my followers on twitter have suggested that the router isn't worth the plastic that encases it as the system should just work out of the box but since the router is so widely used then surely this must be a common problem.
The Xbox has no problems connecting to any online services and my Laptop lists the Xbox on the network devices page so I'm now at a loss.
Has anyone got any advice? having searched the forum there doesn't seem to be any related questions unfortunately.
