When im playing rocket league i like to listen to music, sometimes my music ends and i need to access my desktop to pick a new album. Ive tried pressing the windows key on my keyboard and it wont take me to the desktop like it does in some other games. So again i try CTRL + ALT + DEL to open desk manager but when i click on open desk manager nothing happens. Im not sure if its a problem with the game im playing or if itheres a setting on windows 10 i need to tweak, id just like to be able to go directly to the desktop anytime i press the windows key.
Anyone have this problem or know how to fix it ?

Have you tried Alt Tab

Alt+Tab usually works for me in many games, some games have disabled the Windows key as some people accidentally hit it when playing exuberantly and ended up going back to the desktop at a crucial moment and losing the game...

alt tab requires an active application to tab too, not sure if it works in win10 but I have taskmgr running constantly for that reason
