Not sure where to post this but no doubt someone will move it if there is a better place.
I have been trying to view files (pictures and movies) stored on my PC on my TV. I have installed Serviio but although the TV (a Panasonic G20 series) sees the router it is not apparently getting through to the PC. The built in software in the TV connects to the internet OK with things like Netflix and YouTube available but I cannot see the files on my PC at the TV. I suspect it is the set up of the router blocking access. I have tried switching off Win 7 firewall but that didn't help. The problem is that any changes you make, I expect, need some time to filter through in typical network setup fashion.
Has anyone here used a 582 with a media server (any server, not just Serviio) and if so can they tell how they set up the router, please?
