Static IP address for sending emails

Hi
I have a php base Oscommerce website which is getting near
release to the outside world. I have a problem with sending
confirmation emails from the site because email hosting providers
like Hotmail, Yahoo etc don't accept emails coming from dynamically
allocated IP addresses 'cos they assume they're spam.
If I get a permanent IP addy from Plusnet, will this be also regarded
as from a dynamically allocated list or will it be allocated on a separate
basis?
Ta, making progress

Re: Static IP address for sending emails

If you get a static IP address from Plusnet,  it is allocated from a different pool to the dynamic addresses.
It also get's linked to DNS and rDNS entries (which include your username) which should satisfy most providers.

You could send via Plusnet's SMTP server as a smarthost.

@martinlangley
Just in case you do decide to go down the static IP route, it's just a one-off fee of £5 to get that added. I'd advise searching for "add ons" on our website to find that.
