Speed problem:-
I upgraded to high speed fibre and got speeds of 60Mb/sec downloads, 20Mb/sec uploads.
For some reason, this has changed to 30Mbits downloads, 200Kbits uploads today.
Plusnet's fault diagnosis instructions involve plugging your computer directly into the WAN port of the BT modem and starting a pppoe session
Unfortunately, I was speaking to a Windows fan. - who just had Windows instructions.
Having looked at pppoe - just now - I think it unlikely that I can can configure a pppoe session that meets Plusnet's requirements.

Spoke to James about this problem.
He was able to monitor my connection without any need for pppoe.
However, since it proved necessary, I dug out an ancient XP laptop - seems pppoe is a kind of high speed dial-up style of connection.
However, pppoe failed to connect.
Seems fibre is very hard to diagnose.
