Spam increase?

Has anyone else noticed an increase in the amount of spam that is not being correctly classified as junk, following the recent problem with email (with the installation of the supposedly-improved spam handing)?
I only used to get one of two messages a week arriving in my Inbox (as opposed to being filtered off into my Spam box).  But, since the installation of the new spam appliances I get at least a dozen obviously-spam messages not being classified correctly every day.
I've raised a ticket to report this to Plus, but they insist there's it's not a trend across customers.  I've not done anything to attract more spam to my account, though, so I think it must have affected other people too.

Its certainly missing ones which are clearly spam like get Viagra here.
I use the webmail and identify them as spam which it should hopefully then learn. Its annoying as you mark it as spam and it then unticks it so you have to remark them all to delete them.

Not using a plus email, but spam has gone up to about 300 emails a week over the last month, with no change in forums used.  Fortunately Apple Mail is quite good at sorting the spam, but still need to keep an eye on the emails that are deemed spam.  Viagra, Anatram and Canadian Pharmacy seem the mail culprits, Canadian Pharmacy denies responsibility....!

I was not getting much spam until couple of days ago and am now getting deluged by
CNN Daily Top Ten.
I gather there are problems blocking this and it is vicious.
I am just using webmail and deleting .
Plusnet may not be able to do anything about it and I am  wary of 'solutions' from sources  I do not know.

i have put the adds into the blocked message > news and mail <
hoping that i don't get any more

As I said earlier, the only common thing is the Title, they do not come from cnn.com, so it is no use blacklisting that, all the from address that I have looked at have Bot Net ones

finally got rid of  >daily top 10 < as put the words into mail and news and they have all gone into the delete folder....
however i now have > CNN  customs alert<..
seems as if they have changed their tactics..
back to the drawing board... hey ho .. no rest for the wicked ...

I am getting loads as well if you put into the filter contains CNN it should trap both as they all have CNN in there somewhere so far anyway no doubt it will be something different tomorrow

This has been discussed at length here.
We should have measures in place to make sure these are marked as spam early next week.

thanks Bob.. looked at that site... now that i have  clicked on " block message"  tho they all go into the delete..  i am happy with that ..had 4 today ..
