Smart TV keeps on losing WiFi connection despite strong signal

Hi all,

As the subject says, I'm having issues with my LG Smart TV where I need to keep reconnecting it to the WiFi. I have used the TV with another router prior to moving home so am fairly sure the problem isn't with the TV itself.

There are strong 2G and 5G signals, so I don't believe there is an issue with range.

It's almost as if it's getting booted off of the network all the time.

Anyone else run into this problem?

Give the 2 frequencies separate ssid's if you haven't already.
You may well have neighbours competing for your frequencies so use an app such as inSSIDer
to see how busy local wifi channels are; use those least busy.
Generally the 2.4ghz band is much more populated, so as a last resort stop your LG
using that connection option.

I've just tried giving the TV a static IP address to see if that does the trick. If not I'll give that a go!
