Slow IOS apps like Amazon and eBay

Has anyone experienced apps on IOS running slow and even not working, forcing them to turn off Wifi and then the apps runs fine? The websites seem to work fine also, it’s just the apps. It’s intermittent, but a daily occurrence I find.

I still get this lots, but my contract is up soon, so perhaps time to move on.
