Silverlight & Windows 7

No matter how many times I hide the Silverlight (KB960353) update it keeps coming back to haunt me.
I have other updates hidden and they remain that way but not Silverlight. I haven't seen the need to install it yet so why bother?
What is it with Silverlight that makes M$ insist I install it?

I've completely resisted the offer to install Silverlight too. #
I've never found a site that uses it - and no need for yet another propriety application - especially from MS

The Silverlight update is down as an optional update so try unticking the bit circled
Will try hiding it and see if it works
