Shared VM

Time to set up W7 in a VM again using virtual box. I seem to remember last time I did this that after adding my daughter and myself to the vbox user group and adding a desktop shortcut on both our desktops that after I had used w7 she couldn't access it and vice versa.
I had to keep changing the permission. Is there a better way to set it up so we can both jump straight into it from a desktop icon?

Re: Shared VM

Create a group with you both in it, then give that group permissions to access the VM folder, that should do it. Failing that no idea, single user system here.

Re: Shared VM

Thanks mate. Would separating a bit of hard drive space off and putting the vm in that help at all? She is a limited user.

Re: Shared VM

As long as both users have access to both the VM group & the folder it should  work.
If you have full rights to her home folder and put the VM in there that maybe another way to try it.
