Search on Outlook not working on plusnet addresses

My wife uses Outlook 2016 on her laptop. She has several email addresses which feed into it, including a couple of plusnet addresses. She can successfully 'Search current mailbox' on all of her NON-plusnet folders (say, for a particular name), but for some reason when she searches through her plusnet folders the search just comes up with 'No results', no matter what the search term. It only started doing this a matter of days ago, prior to that it was fine. Anybody any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks

Have you checked the settings at file->options->search ?

Thanks. I had looked in there, but couldn't see a setting which would obviously be impacting. Plus, those settings affect how the search function works generally, so I can't see why the search works across her 1&1 and gmail inboxes, but not her plusnet inbox.

The one which stood out for me as a possible solution was 'Include results only from:' with 4 options including one that would search all mailboxes.

Thanks again, but no joy. Changed the setting to all mailboxes, and then sent the same email to the plusnet address and a 1&1 address. Then did search within outlook, and it only found the email in the 1&1 inbox.

Could you be using IMAP set to download headers only for Plusnet so the content isn't there to find?

Thanks ReedRichards, but Outlook is downloading the entire emails. Moreover, in my most recent test, I put the word 'gargantuan' into the email title, but still the search function couldn't find that word in the plusnet mailbox (though it could in the 1&1 inbox).

Well you could try setting-up a new Account on Outlook or even a new Profile.

If you EXclude the mailbox in question from indexing, will it then search properly (albeit slowly)?
