Search in Documents doesn't appear to work in W7

Title says it all, really.
Using the search box on the top right works for all folders on all drives except, it seems, the Documents (My Documents Sub) folder.
Windows 7, Home Premium, 64 Bit.
Anyone else experience this?

Does this answer the question - you need to tick Don't use the index - found by trial and error

I am on the same Win 7 as you.  I put a search word in the box and instructed it to search my c: drive.  After a long time it listed all documents and files with the search word in the file name or in the document text.   I must have been searching for 10-15 minutes and and although my c: drive is quite large I only have 57GB on it.
My search button is set to search file names and contents

@ oldjim Nope. No drives are Indexed anyway. But I did select that option and still no search occurs.
Strange thing is if I do a search on C: then the search does include files found in Documents (My Documents).
But even if I search in a Sub folder of Documents no search occurs.

What is the chance that you aren't searching Documents directly but the Library link

Oops, that's it Oldjim. I never realised that was the connection. I have never needed to search any other library so didn't think to check it out.
