Re: Search Engine Problems

Which operating system are you using.
If you open a command window and type in
tracert www.google.co.uk
you should get something like this
C:\Users\Jim>tracert www.google.co.uk

Re: Search Engine Problems

You appear to have a DNS redirect problem as that address times out.
There are a number of possibilities but two to check are whether you have any malware - try doing a full scan with http://www.malwarebytes.org/
Next see what is in your hosts file http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972034
Another couple of things to check
If you type
ipconfig /all
in a command window (not the space between ipconfog and /all)
what are the DNS servers shown as
Can you check what the router shows for the DNS servers

Re: Search Engine Problems

Quick scan found 4 adware and 6 hijack problems, remobed them and rebooted.
Just doing the full scan as we speak.
Not sure I understand the Host reset bit.

Try setting the PN DNS servers on your PC (currently it is using your router).

Re: Search Engine Problems

DNS changing malware is frequently very well concealed so difficult to get rid of.  TDSSKiller http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208283363 might be worth a try.
