Having trouble with screen/page freeze, on goggle chrome.
this is gradually getting worse, started with Met office weather screen and now seems to lock up nearly every site one try's.
Using Norton 360 security which may or may not have detrimental effect.
Any ideas?
Many thanks,
Sixpence.

I've had the odd Shockwave failure which locks up a web page temporarily.

Adobe Shockwave player. It's a program installed on your computer that plays certain video files embedded in web pages.
If it crashes trying to play a video file the web page locks up until it gives up.

Yes, have wondered about Norton.
Anyway, found some sort of forum pertaining to chrome and it appears the problem is quite well known (except by the producers of chrome).
So as one cannot get info to ( google) or Norton we must just wait.
sixpence.
