Samsung 7400 tv

Can anyone help am on fibre and have no problems with anything connected via WiFi.
Except Samsung tv think I've tried everything changing the dns to 8888, 8844, and get auto. Still i have a problem with streaming YouTube ect buffering all the time. Don't have any problem on the other tvs which are lgs.
Many thanks

Re: Samsung 7400 tv

Hi there.

Do you get the same issues when you plug your TV into the router using an ethernet cable (if that's possible)?

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.

Re: Samsung 7400 tv

This is a 4K TV so you need 15-25Mbps download speed over wifi to stream UHD without buffering. That's without any other devices using your bandwidth. Have you  tried measuring your download speed at the TV location? As @Gandalf suggests, Ethernet cabling is good. It's the only way to guarantee the best and most reliable connection speed. That's assuming of course that the VDSL service at your property is fast enough. What speed do you get using an Ethernet cable to connect to your router?

One further thought, have you tried separating the 2.4 and 5 GHz channels, see https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Router/2-4ghz-and-or-5ghz-best-practice/m-p/1351966#M840

Re: Samsung 7400 tv

@Gmmac I have a KS8000 TV that when watching any 4K UHD TV such as Amazon's The Grand Tour it consumes in excess of 25Mbps so as has been mentioned you need to check your VDSL throughput to ensure you have the capacity.

Also, for what it is worth my TV is connected using a TP-Link PA9020 and it works perfectly well for me, so it might be worth consideration.

Have you tried separating the channels and selecting the best?
