Sad day for AutoPatcher

Those that have used this excellent Windows update software will, like me, regret its demise.
See http://www.autopatcher.com/
Does anyone know of an alternative? Although I would imagine MS would be targetting any similar software also.

This one still appears to be live  http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/updatepack.html which creates a slipstreamed CD
But by god it's slow - 1.3kB/s

Re: Sad day for AutoPatcher

PJ - the M$ rationale that I've seen is that they do not want anyone else to distribute their patches because of the fear of re-engineering to add a virus. But this begs the question of why haven't they done this earlier in the 4 year life of AutoPatcher. The cynical side of me says this is for commercial reasons and we should expect a "new" M$ product in the not too distant future.
Jim - thanks for the link. I managed to get the August updates from AutoPatcher before the site was taken down and so it will be mid September before I take a detailed look. Your edit about the download speed is noted however.
