SSD

If you have a previous copy of Windows 7 & Linux on SSD (Evo 840) and you wish to do a complete fresh install ofWindows 7 will the installation process wipe everything off the SSD or is there any advantage in using Samsung magician to wipe the SSD before installation ?

Windows 7 is compatible with all the software I use, hence the reason to use Windows 7....security updates being unnecessary as I never go on line with Windows.

Re: SSD

@gleneagles

I should know the answer to this but to be sure the Evo 840 isn't a M.2 NVME SSD - Win7 really doesn't like installing on these.

Are you looking to keep a copy of your Linux install? If not then there's no problem formatting the drive to start completely afresh.
