SNMP on TG585v7 with v8.2.x firmware

I've just received a replacement TG585v7 with firmware 8.2.23.0 after my previous one died.  SNMP used to work ok on the previous TG585v7 I had (with firmware 7.4.x) (though it took messing about with the CLI and the config file), but the configuration settings that worked before don't work now.
Is there any way to enable SNMP on this router, or has thomson done a stupid thing and taken the snmp feature out?
thanks for any help.

Re: SNMP on TG585v7 with v8.2.x firmware

Unfortunately Thomson seem to have the habit of removing functionality occasionally. The TG585v7 lost SNMP support on the move from v7 to v8. It's not alone as the ST780 lost both SNMP and USB support on the move from v6 to v7.
As far as I can tell the only way to regain SNMP support would be to load an older firmware.
