Running Steam on Chrome OS using Borealis?

The Mods may want to move this to the gaming section but it's also about PCs so it serves a purpose in the tech section.

My online research tells me that there will soon be native support for Steam on Chrome OS using something called Borealis? Is this correct?

 I think it's a bit of a stretch to call it native.
