I can't access my browser or email on one of my PCs because of a fault. I can access my program files.
I am using Firefox and Thunderbird.
I want to copy certain files to a memory stick so I can put them onto a new PC.
The main files I want are: address book, inbox, sent, drafts, all in Thunderbird and my URL history in Firefox.
Could someone please tell me which files to look at as I am confused when looking into the program files.
Thank you.

It does depend on whether you're running XP or Vista.
If it's XP, you need to look under:
C:\Program Files\<your username>\Application Data\Thunderbird
if it's Vista, you need to look under:
C:\Users\<your username>\Application Data\Thunderbird
You will see a Profiles folder, a profiles.ini file and a registry.dat file.
Take a copy of all of these, and place onto another machine in exactly the same place.
For Firefox, take a copy of:
C:\Program Files\<your username>\Application Data\Mozilla Firefox
Hope that helps

Sorry to go back on this problem Barry, I should have given you this info originally. I am wanting to load the details onto a PC with XP but want to retrieve it from an ME PC. Can you help with what files I need to look for in ME. Thank you.
