Retaining table as created in w Word in a fourm like this

I find it frustrating. :'(, but having constructed a table in Word, or items in a Excel spreadsheet, I try to insert same as part of a post in a forum. In the forum all the formatting gets destroyed, so that it's all a higgledy piggledy mess. Can anyone give me tips how to sucessfully retain the format of my table or spreadsheet, please?

One way of doing it...  In your Word or Excel document just hit 'Print Screen' on your keyboard.
Open your graphics program, Paint Shop Pro or whatever you use and press Ctrl-V to insert the screen capture as a new image.  Crop out the part you want and save as a .jpg

The only other way I have found of making a spreadsheet presentation look like it`s original is to spend time "editing" in spaces to get the figures to line up in columns. 
  A bit more simple than using PSP etc., however, it does take a long time if the spreadsheet is large.

when in your spreadsheet try changing your script to courier, this is a mono space font.  Going away to play, if it succeeds I will be back   I have other thoughts as well

By adding spaces before the "time" column, it has improved it, but it would still need a lot of work with the spacebar to make it "good"

As you can see, the third effort is much worse than the original. Oh well, .....         

Just a point, the text and figures were configured to be "central" in the cells.... which may make some difference in the spacing.  It may work better if all the cells were configured to be Left orientated.

Here`s a trial of this....
Copy and paste the spreadsheet to your DTP program, (might work in notepad, I use MS Publisher 98) onto a blank sheet.  Edit the spaces (in this case immediately before the first figure of the time column, then save it as....  then copy and paste back to here (MS Pub uses "text frame" so I copied the text frame, I think "Word" works slightly differently...

Well, it does look a bit better, although "not quite" lined up !.... (all the figures in the "time" column were lined up, so the rest should have followed.....)
