Try a Samknows box reset as well.

Samknows should just be checking the connection with bbc.co.uk
You are doing something different - you are using Firefox to 'execute' the HTML source (supplied by the BBC) at www.bbc.co.uk
For example:- via Linux using ethernet & fibre on a plain download, I can get
wget bbc.co.uk
--2018-12-14 13:45:43-- http://bbc.co.uk/
Resolving bbc.co.uk (bbc.co.uk)... 151.101.64.81, 151.101.128.81, 151.101.192.81, ...

This is quite fast - but no HTML/javascript etc is executed - so it ought to be how SamKnows operates.
BTW Samknows claims that it doesn't operate when the internet connection is in use, to avoid interfering with slow connections.

Mustrum,
I have reset the Samknows box but now need the box to do another test and it wont do that until I am not using the line.
Will let you know the outcome of the next test done.

Hi VileReynard,
I do appreciate that my testing of the BBC web loading via my Firefox browser is not the same as the test the SamKnows box does as I am using a browser and presumable it doesn't, and that is why very early on I discounted that any adblocker or the like that I have running could be contributing to the problem as the SamKnows test doesn't use my browser to do it's tests.
I did the test as posted in response to a request from Mook who I assume was wanting to look for any problems loading via my web browser because either way via the web browser or via the Samknows Box they both have to go through the router and the BT line attached.
Having said that I have no understanding other than what seems to make sense that if it is a BT fault as claimed by SamKnows it would affect both the browser and the SamKnows Box?

Hi Mook,
After a lot of waffle I finally got this from SamKnows, which vindicates our suspicions.
"We have compatibility issue between our test and the BBC website. BBC had introduced some changes to their page in recent months that caused our tests to be unable to load the page fully. This means that this was not an issue with your line nor a problem from your ISP side.
We've removed the BBC pages for now, and we are now working on our browsing test to overcome this issue."
Problem solved.
