What is a "Redback Lawful Intercept" ????
I fired up a Wireshark capture to see what was going on and I saw quite a lot of the following reported:-
142 37.215429 192.168.0.5 88.134.94.75 IP Bogus IP header length (16, must be at least 20)
143 37.440616 190.216.30.68 192.168.0.5 IP Bogus IP header length (16, must be at least 20)
148 37.919179 84.55.10.136 192.168.0.5 IP Bogus IP header length (16, must be at least 20)
etc...
Further examination showed that all contained a line saying:-
Redback Lawful Intercept
However, since by definition all intercepts are unlawful, what's this all about?

Thanks - most of the Google links appeared to relate to Wireshark.
It appears that various companies (including Cisco, Redback) have set up complicated mechanisms to perform something they are pleased to call "Lawful Intercept". This was done quite a number of years ago - long before there was any legal process for spying on computers.
I find it strange that a "Lawful Intercept" should be detectable by Wireshark though - obviously I don't want to be "Lawfully Intercepted".
