Well, I just looked at my "Downloads" folder and Malwarebytes seems to have removed it from the list ....
strange that Malwarebytes would show it as "1 object infected".... and then list it, so maybe Kaspersky isn`t up to the mark yet

Wouldn't be the first time Malwarebytes scares people with false alarms either.

So , If it is a "false alarm".... who put it there? and why the vendor listed as "Rogue.SystemSmartSecurity " Presumably," they " do exist somewhere on the net....
and again.... Avira may well be not yet up to speed on it.... !

No Idea shutter but I will keep a hold of the file and scan It again In a few days with Mbam, Oldjim has scanned It with Kaspersky and nothing found, I scanned It with Avira and nothing found, Also ran Hitman pro and my PC Is fine, So either It Is a false alarm or 3 really good AV are wrong, You decide!!
If life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

I see a lot of "nasties" that don't get identified as viruses.
I suspect that some of this is down to historical definitions and where the AV products are coming from.
That's why "antispyware" appeared as a separate category a few years ago.
These new ones are not always malevolent in the traditional sense and are often just programs that people are tricked into installing that then nag them to pass over credit card details by one means or another.
Also many, once in place, effectively block the traditional AV programs and become rather more of a nuisnace by getting more aggressive.
It's malware writers just getting cleverer and exploiting human weaknesses.
