Well, not necessarily anything really.
It is almost certainly going to be less easy to repair if it fails.
It may well have less "capability", especially in terms of connectivity.
And it may well not support all the functions a business-class model would such as automatic swap/rebuild in the event of failure and thorough diagnostics.
But in a domestic environment all that may not be a problem.

I've seen some useless motherboard ones and some that are actually quite good.
The one I am using right now has only limited functionality with the BIOS/setup, you need to be running utilities within an OS (e.g. Windows) to create/manage the mirrors and rebuild. And it doesn't do RAID5 either.
But you're right that business users " want to keep going" and are happy to pay for that.
