TCP or UDP?
It depends on the setting of the Plusnet Broadband Firewall in the member centre, if that is set to off then I think there aren't any blocked ports.

ejs,
Just checked the member bit and got this : -
Block all incoming traffic to ports that are often abused. These include ports 53, 111, 135, 137, 138, 139, 445, 515, 1080, 1433, 3128, 3306, 6000. Find out more
The find out more link takes me round in circles
and the advanced bit took me to shieldsup which I ran and there was no response from my IPaddress .
Now I need to find out what ports other than the ones named are under [ these include ports ]..
Regards..
