Question about download speeds......

I am having a problem working out how much of my download allowance would be taken up if I watched a program (baseball) at a streaming speed of 700 kilobits a second.
Yes it is right kilobits a second not kilobytes.
Could not think of anywhere else to ask.
Thanks for any help you may give.
Ian

Re: Question about download speeds......

700 kilobits = 87.5 kilobytes
87.5 kilobytes x 3600 = 315,000 kilobytes = 307.6171875 megabytes

Re: Question about download speeds......

The Plusnet kilo, mega and giga prefixes are 1000 based, so 315000 kilobytes per hour is 315 megabytes per hour as in the first reply. However usage will record perhaps 10% (31.5 MB per hour) more than that since data received has to be acknowledged.
