Problum Removeing Folder

hi, can anyone help me trying to delete a folder, I noticed on one of my slave drives that I have a folder called compilers. That i know is empty, the problum is when I try to remove it I Just get this error message.

Cannot delete Compilers: Access is denied.
Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected
and that the file is not currently in use.
All the rest of the folders I can delete, it just that folder. I do not know if this may also help. but the other night I had to restart my system and it came up with a scan disk saying it had to fix errors, after this I noticed that the Compilers folder will not remove. Even when I click on it to open it says "Access is denied.", I am also using Windows XP Home.
if anyone can help, this be very helpfull.

Here are a few things to try.
1. Make sure you are logged on with administrator priviledges, then try deleting.
2. Right click on the file, click Properties, then Security, then set the permission for Everyone to Full Control, then try deleting.
3. Boot into Safe Mode, then try deleting from there.
