Problems with IE 11

Does anyone else find that Plusnet and IE 11 don't work very well. It's my favourite browser but I get a lot of This page can't be displayed. Using compatibility mode for such sites makes no difference.
I've tried Firefox and Chrome and the problem doesn't exist with them.
I'm loathe to give up on IE 11 as I find it the best browser so any help would be appreciated.
I have Windows 8.1.

Unfortunately you have just found out why MS are not going to release IE in their next windows 10 
its the main reason why people use another browser its a bit poop

Despite being something of a Microsoftphobe I'd agree with the OP that IE11 is pretty good.
I have no problems with IE11 as described on a Plusnet Connection or with any Plusnet pages but I'm on Windows 7, not Windows 8.x, maybe that makes a difference.

One I've just tried is www.afibbers.org. I should mention that sometimes sites which get this message will be accessible next time I try.

Like W23 I have IE11 on Win7 - the only time I've had 'unable to display page' is when there is a problem with the site itself (either the software or the server - I know this because my most-used site is currently suffering from an intermittent combination of both.)
It does benefit from a bit of housekeeping from time to time to clear out old files - CCleaner is a handy free tool to do that, although it's probably best not to get carried away and delete all your cookies too or you'll be re-typing login details to your favourite sites for the next week!

For reasons posted by me on a previous thread I'm now more or less totally on GoogleChrome (after a little help from my friends here).
Although the probs I had in relation to IE11 on Win8.1 seem to have resolved themselves by some magical means, I don't feel confident with it .
GC appears stable and doesn't seem to demand frequent updates.
