This morning my connection bounced (might actually have been a power cut) but since then my mail server has been out of action. I've now tracked it down to port 25 being blocked. I've disabled the Broadband Firewall in the member centre but it's still blocked. Can someone from CS investigate, please? FYI: This is for an installation that's been working fine over over a year so it's some'at that happened this morning.
Grrrrrrr. You'd think after over 30 years of working with computers I'd be used to this kind of crap by now. Shutting everything down and phoning a friend to test my connection I finally decided to power cycle the router. Lo and behold everything is back. So apparently 'Restart' when clicked on the admin interface of a Billion router doesn't always mean a total restart even if it takes it five minutes to sort itself out. I'm going to have to resort to profanity now but for the sake of the forum moderators all I'm going to write here is 'Pootle'
