Problem with Adobe Reader in W7 Home 64bit

It seems that Adobe reader can't open some pdf files that were previoulsy opened under the 32 bit edition.
I am running Version 10.0.1 with all the latest updates installed.
The same files open ok with PDF-Viewer so surely can't be a file error.
Has anyone come across this and managed to get Adobe Reader to finally open their files?

Re: Problem with Adobe Reader in W7 Home 64bit

Yes I had this very problem on a new Windows 7 64bit system.
The solution is to run the 32bit version of Adobe - see item 9. at http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/328/328233.html
Good luck!  Smiley

Cheers.
Don't understand why so many companies are still not fully supporting 64 bit Undecided

Just spotted an error in my previous posting.  Embarrassed
What I meant was run the 32bit version of your browser as per the link. Oops! - it was late on a Friday afternoon and my brain was away for the weekend!!

Re: Problem with Adobe Reader in W7 Home 64bit

I'm running 32 bit browsers but I am actually wanting to user Reader as stand-alone rather than in browser as I'm loading files from the HDD.

A quick update...
Since re-installing W7 64 I have yet to find a pdf file that refuses to load.
So, perhaps, the original installation of Reader was somehow corrupted?
