Printer puzzler.

I am a bit puzzled by the following,
I Have a second desktop PC about 20 ft from my printer and trying to print using Bluetooth connection.
Mint 13 has no problem in identifying the printer and printing a test page but if I try printing from Libreoffice or saving a document and then try to print it nothing happens other than a message saying document pending.
So the puzzle is how come I can print a test page but nothing else ?
The test page includes a range of coloured circles plus other info such as the driver, printer,  CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.8 etc
Is there something else I should be doing or not doing ?

You using cinnamon or mate?
In cinnamon open a browser and goto http://localhost:631 then check the printer is the default etc.
In mate open the printer control panel and do same.

You don't say if it is an epson, but if it is this has been mentioned on the Mint forum

I Will have a play around with whats on that link.
The printer is showing as the default printer.

Looks like a cups backend issue. I have just had same problems printing to my usb printer.
Open a terminal and enter

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:till-kamppeter/ppa
sudo apt update 
sudo apt upgrade
sudo service cups restart

this will add the latest cups driver
Although it still has issues with me.
