Does anyone know of a free program that will allow friends to open my PP attachments?
If not I could send them a copy of my Office CD.
Thanks.

You aren't legally allowed to send them your CD, as its licensed to you.
If they only want to view the presentations, you have at least two easy options.
One is 'pack and go' its a feature of Powerpoint which enables you to create a package which includes a viewer which they can install to open the show.
They could download the viewer free from Microsofts website if they desired too.
Optionally, there are probably a few third party tools which will do the job too.

PS James, I wouldn't think of doing anything illegal but my Office has a pic of a man with a patch over his eye on it

There is a free Office clone - openoffice.org that has a presentation package called Impress, it can read .ppt formats.
http://www.openoffice.org/index.html
Latest version is 2.3.1
As suggested previously there's always the free Microsoft viewer program.

Thanks. That could be useful to someone I know who wants MS Office but can't afford it.
