Power line adapters

Does anyone know where I can buy single power line adapters. I currently have 2 tp link PA4010 devices but need a third. I cannot find anywhere that sells single units apart from used ones on eBay. Everywhere else sells just starter kit.

Re: Power line adapters

you can find almost anything on ebay but even a single powerline adapter might be a challenge!

I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!

Would this be of any use?

Re: Power line adapters

Looks like I'm going to have to get 2.  Don't need the functionality of a wireless one really. Shame nobody does singles anymore, of the basic ones, except used on eBay. Thanks for the advice......

Re: Power line adapters

Why tne aversion to buying second hand from EBay? I imagine that there are many like me who have found that, satisfactory operation is dependant on the particular domestic wiring layout etc. and dumped them in favour of installing Ethernet cable.

Re: Power line adapters

@Baldrick1   I don't have a particular aversion to buying used tech from eBay, I've just been burned a couple of times, with stuff not working and the hassle of returning.  To be honest I am in your court, and prefer wired Ethernet to anything. My sky box us direct wired to the router via a gigabit switch. It's unfortunately just not feasible in my house to wire everything Ethernet.

Re: Power line adapters

I have several doing nothing in a dark cupboard.

I got fed-up continually crawling to reset the damn things.

Got majority stuff connected via Gigabit switch - including TV. 🙂

Re: Power line adapters

Based on my experience there should be lots of single ones lying about somewhere. I've had 3 'starter kits' to connect up to a hard-to-reach corner of my house and each one has failed (only 1 end of course) after some months of intermittent usability and continual resets. I think they're a load of kack!
