Port Forwarding not working - please help!

Ok, so I've contacted PlusNet who informed me that they cannot assist with Port Fowarding at all, as per their policy. Fair enough, only that my PS4 is now excruciatingly slow at finding games etc. and port forwarding is the solution. Having followed a guide on here on Port Forwarding, I thought I had found my solution - I had set up Port Forwarding for both my PS4 and FIFA 18 and just needed to assign them to my actual PS4 (http://prntscr.com/ige8bj). However, this does not work!! Every time I try to assign my port forwards to the console itself, I get this error message: http://prntscr.com/ige8k3 . This is impossible, because I haven't actually assigned anything to any device as yet! Can somebody please help? The whole point of my internet is to game and currently, I can't do that...

You could put your PS4 in the DMZ and that should get rid of the need for port forwarding.

Thanks - I’ve tried that but it hasn’t solved the issue. Basically, since joining Plusnet I can no longer ‘find opponents’ on FIFA 18. Very frustrating! It may be that port forwarding wouldn’t necessarily solve this either...any ideas?

try port forwarding again, then run shields up against the ports that are meant to be open, That will tell you if a) the port forward is working and b) if the ps4 is responding to the port.
You will need the game running at the time you test.

The problem is, I can't even do the port forwarding as keep getting that error message (http://prntscr.com/ige8k3), even though there can't possibly be any conflict, as I haven't set anything up...

Hmm not using the default router, so not familiar with that screen, but usually it is an IP address not a description you put in the to field.
