PlusnetAssist installation problem

I tried to install PN Assist.  Downloaded the exe file OK but shortly after trying to install it I but got a pop up message "Installation failed - unable to complete installation".
This happened a couple of times and I don't know what to try next. (It installed OK on my wife's laptop)
Anybody got any suggestions?

Hi Chris,
Using Vista, but I've managed to install PN Assist now.
Realised I was having a problem with some other web pages as well so I uninstalled my browsers (Chrome and Firefox) the re-installed them. Now seems to be OK. I don't know how the problem occurred though.
