Shall I add newglassesforjames.plus.net while I'm at it?

Re: Plusnet URLs - quick ways to get where you want

And while we are discussing urls, please could someone put the Plusnet favicon back in for webmail?  Don't know where it went to in the first place as it was there a while ago and is still there for RoundCube.
Not a big job but it makes things clearer and I like them.

Re: Plusnet URLs - quick ways to get where you want

I've just added some other *.plus.net servers - any more?
Could someone on Force9 or f-o tell me what the URLs are for them please.

Re: Plusnet URLs - quick ways to get where you want

Email address format   yourname@username.force9.co.uk
Incoming (POP3) Server mail.force9.net
Outgoing (SMTP) Server relay.force9.net
IMAP Server imap.force9.net
Usenet Server news.force9.net
Your website   www.username.force9.co.uk
CGI ccgi.username.force9.co.uk
FTP (uploading files) ftp.force9.net
CGI (uploading scripts) cshell.force9.net

Email address format  yourname@username.free-online.co.uk
Incoming (POP3) Server mail.free-online.net
Outgoing (SMTP) Server relay.free-online.net
IMAP Server imap.free-online.net
Usenet Server news.free-online.net
Your website   www.username.free-online.co.uk
CGI ccgi.username.free-online.co.uk
FTP (uploading files) ftp.free-online.net
CGI (uploading scripts) cshell.free-online.net

Most of the short url's for F9 and FOL redirect to the plusnet portal, but I haven't tried 'em all yet.
I echo what Bob said, this would make an excellent library article.

Re: Plusnet URLs - quick ways to get where you want

You didn't point out that the last update missed the FTP servers - but your post highlighted the omission thanks!
I think it's probably easier to develop/get comments on here and convert it to a library article when it's done (if not least because I'm familiar with the forums and not familiar with the library!).

Re: Plusnet URLs - quick ways to get where you want

Could a Free-Online or Force9 user tell me which entries need asterisks please (see the note above the tables).

Re: Plusnet URLs - quick ways to get where you want

Just found http://orders.plus.net/ - but I don't think it's worth adding.
How many more are there lurking around and forgotten?

Re: Plusnet URLs - quick ways to get where you want

Just found this useful post. However, it says 'plusnet can be substituted with force9 by Force 9 users and with free-online by Free Online users for all servers except those marked with an asterisk.', but this is not strictly true. 'plusnet' does not appear in any of the urls, it is 'plus.net', but if you try eg 'webmail.force9' it will not work.
Surely it should be replace 'plus' with 'force9', or 'plus.net' with 'force9.net'?
I also cannot see any servers marked with an asterisk, but perhaps they were/are to come?
