Plusnet: My Broadband Usage: Other?

I am looking at the Plusnet - My Broadband Usage page.

Can anybody tell me what is the definition of 'Other' traffic?  I am surprised to see quite so much of Other traffic.

I can guess that it is traffic which doesn't fit into web, email, usenet, ftp, etc.  I am wondering what sort of traffic might fit into the Other category, what protocols for example, perhaps NTP?

I'd guessed that. I was surprised that there is quite a bit of it. I'm guessing it covers DNS, NTP - which I would think amount to hardly anything, so what else could be making up the numbers?

It says I've used 34GB of the "Other" out of a total of 123GB so far this month.

This is the biggest contribution to my usage, although "Broadband Phone" @ 26GB is a close second...

I don't believe Skype could gobble 26GB in a fortnight...

I remember some comedian ( I can't remember who) who said that if porn accounts for 30% of the internet - that's 70% he hasn't seen.
