Plusnet Assist

Tried to download this earlier - and get the message: “This file couldn’t be downloaded”.  I have W7 - and use IE9 (email: Windows Live Mail).  I then disabled Kaspersky and tried again - with the same result.
I have looked through the FAQs for this - but cannot see anything there that might help.
Any advice please?

Re: Plusnet Assist

Have taken a screen shot of that download page (Sorry, I don’t know how to post images on here) - mine reads:

PlusnetAssistInsta... 629KB This file couldn’t be downloaded.
pbttbcpn.bt.motive.com
There is a retry button - which I’ve clicked on - but to no avail.
I’ve gone to the link you provided and clicked to download - but the same message appears - that it cannot be downloaded!  It’s one of those little computer bugs!
Unfortunately, this is a “brick wall” and I’ve no idea how to progress beyond it.  So, I’ll admit defeat and abandon the project.  Thanks for your help.

Re: Plusnet Assist

Probably as well.
I tried it during the testing phase and I wasn't impressed.

That was lucky. If you'd succeeded in downloading it you might have been tempted to use it!

I'd warrant a guess that something is blocking Active X. You can check these settings under Internet Options > Security Tab > Custom Level.

Re: Plusnet Assist

Thanks for reply - I took a look at the area you suggested but - I'm really out of my depth on such things.  I'm going to give PlusNet Assist as I don't think it's something that I'd actually need.
