Quote I mentioned earlier that I have trouble even accessing the config page via my web browser
This implies its a faulty device, did you have this problem with an earlier firmware version or the previous phone?

Yes, my first phone had the same problems so I updated the firmware and bootcode but this made no difference and the replacement phone I'm now using came with the latest already loaded.
I thought I had made some slight progress, as I mentioned earlier I reset everything back to default (for which feels like for the hundredth time) and I was able to access the config page repeatedly. I then added my viop service data and I could still access the config page via the browser (IE7) yippee ! but call success rate still crap and after the phone had successfully registered a few times I'm now once again locked out !!, only by stripping out the viop service data can I once again access it god knows why this should be but I'm rapidly loosing patience with this thing. I think I'll pester Linksys yet again. They gave me a fault record number nearly 3 weeks ago then got the hump because I dared phone them for a progress update and was told don't call us we'll call you - what fantastic customer support that is !!
