PlusNet USENET

Hello, don;t now if this is the right place to ask, but I seen a link in my portal for USENET, I just wondering is it free to use, becase I am sort of new to USNET and some people I talked to say some you have to pay for. So is the one on the Plusnet one free to use. agian sorry for asking but this stuff is very new to me.

Yup!  Plusnet usenet is free to use.  NOTE:  It is Text only feed - no binaries.

Rather than access the news groups via the portal you would do better to use a news reader as it would give you a far better idea of what it is about. Thunderbird is a pretty good reader for text only groups (Outlook Express will do it but it will probably get you shouted at for doing naughty things like top posting)
