Latest statement from PlusNet that I recall seeing...
Quote from: Chris TV is something we've thought about (and continue to do so) as to not consider it leaves us susceptible to those that do provide it. There's no firm plans but we are certainly considering it.

I didn't think that YouView would offer enough extra to my PVR to be worth worrying about. Reading reviews recently I was surprised to find that the initial YouView boxes are in many ways inferior to my PVR and are subject to glitches. Perhaps worth considering in a couple of years time when the technology is mature.

Today I discovered that:-
a) My PVR has lost the capability to play iPlayer.
b) It works as a DLNA client, so it will play back all audio-visual content from my PC provided I loaded the MediaTomb package.
So I don't have any use for YouView.

Quote from: Chris We're in the early stages of TV trials with staff. We are excited about the opportunities this will extend to our customers in the near future but as yet, have no fixed timings for a public launch.
