People are going to be sick of me

I had a letter from Sky earlier in the week stating:
Quote
"Dear Mr XXXXXX
We've recently received a request from the new occupiers of your current property to take over your phone line for *********** on Thursday 20 February 2014."

I'm not moving home, I have not sold my home, I am not renting my home, and there are no new occupiers.
When I queried this with Sky, they replied:
Quote
"It seems that they (the new provider), may have put the order through as if you have moved to a new address so you will be getting a new telephone number."

From past performance I am inclined to think that Sky are once again wrong.
I have kept the same phone number since about 1992. Can someone please verify that my number will not be changed? I did not request a number change, I don't want a number change.
Thanks
Tom

Hi tazmaniandevil,
I have taken a look at the order but would not want to go posting your telephone number on a forum, I have sent you a private message to confirm.

Re: People are going to be sick of me

Thanks Stuart
Typical of the company I'm leaving, lie after lie after lie. They couldn't lie straight in bed.
Another reason I wont be sorry to leave them.
Cheers
Tom
