PLusnet Protect.....Slow !!!

I have noticed that the start up times on my PC are getting longer. I timed it today & it took 20 minutes from switch-on to Protect coming on even without any up-dates. If up-dates are required, I`m looking at between 30 & 40 minutes. I thought Kaspersky was slow but Protect is crazy. Anyone else having same problem or have any suggestions ?

When I change ISP I always give the bundled free protection software a go. I have run Plusnet protect on x2 laptops and it has been dreadful on both.
It slowed startup's down so much I have removed it.

The wise heads on here advise having nothing to do with Plusnet Protect, if you do a search you will find numerous threads. I'm surprised you can use it at all because afaik it hasn't been updated past Windows 8
