PDF Printing Question:-

I've a 12 page PDF document, mostly text with 6-7 figures size 670kb (KB not MB).
When I try to print the document the print jobs screen shows 192MB and takes an eternity to print (30 minutes), the printer is an HP Lazerjet  5, OS win 7, printing from either FoxIT pdf reader of Acrobat XI result the same (192mb file 30 minutes to print).
There is nothing else in the print queue, the printer is a direct (parallel port) connection. There are no restrictions on the PDF
Can anyone explain?

Re: PDF Printing Question:-

I would check the dpi settings for the printer, maybe it's been set at 'best' quality rather than 'normal' or 'draft' will do.
That's RPM to you!!

Re: PDF Printing Question:-

Thanks each, dpi set to 300 (was 600), did away with annotations, set graphics to low, print size 4mb, time less than a minute.
I don't print PDF's very often, I'd created it and email it to a colleague, who couldn't get it to print.
