Outlook 2003 email receive error

I have an intermittent odd problem
Outlook fails on retrieving emails from multiple accounts - all via Plusnet servers - which is only fixed by restarting the program
Any suggestions as to the cause/solution

Is your connection dropping at the same time? What does F5 or is it F9 (to do a manual get) do after a fail? Any log information available?

Connection stays up
Error is only that the server fails to respond
Manual get has the same problem

How intermittent is this? I assume all other Internet related stuff works as expected?
With it failing on multiple accounts it does point the finger at the server or somewhere along its path, Are you able to ping / tracepath the server while getting mail?

I will try that next time
Intermittent is typically once a day and everything else works OK
I have just manually archived last years emails so will see if that has an effect

4 days later and it hasn't happened again so must have been something to do with the size of the pst file
