It's good to know you were told, as no one explained this to me. Sad

Re: Openreach Installation

Not sure why it is relevant to Plusnet’s reaction to my cabling picture, but here is a photo of my ONT :-

There's your answer - you just can't get the staff these days!

Re: Openreach Installation

They are all contractors and don’t even work for Openreach. The guy I was talking to the other day was from M J Quinn. So at least three removed from the ISP. No wonder no one cares about their work anymore.

Re: Openreach Installation

M  J Quinn are OpenReach sub-contractors - answerable to OpenReach.

Re: Openreach Installation

I don’t think the guy who did my install was from Quinn. My point is I am paying one company, they employ another who then employs a third, so no direct connection.

Re: Openreach Installation

I know I'm banging my head on a brick wall here, but OpenReach are the owners/operators of the BT infrastructure, which the vast majority of ISPs/CPs use to supply their services over. YOU have no direct relationship with them, so how they provide that service is of no concern to you.

Re: Openreach Installation

But all nothing to do with PN!

Why did you not sort it when it was first installed if it is bothering you?

@Mustrum Exactly - and why I bothered replying is a mystery.

Re: Openreach Installation

Of course it is concern to me, especially when the company you are paying fobs you off with a company set up to deal with Openreach's public liability claims!

Re: Openreach Installation

So PN aren't using OR now then? I did try sorting the wiring out, but like I mentioned above, Vodafone don't have a clue and told me I'd have to contact a company dealing with OR liability claims!

Re: Openreach Installation

What don't you understand? OR do a shoddy job and the customer is meant to accept it? OR make themselves uncontactable to the customers of their customers and either don't explain or their customers don't understand the procedures in place to deal with complaints about their workmanship.
