I may have got a little ahead of myself by backporting the 2704N patches in the OpenWRT main development trunk to the current stable Chaos Calmer branch and flashing the resultant build to the 2704N ???.
If something starts playing up will Plus want to see their own device / firmware in the loop? I don't see to be able to find the original firmware to revert to if necessary :-[...

The original firmware isn't available from Plusnet, in fact no firmware for the 2704n is
Have a dig through the Unlocking the potential... thread.There may be something there.
Are you on Fibre or ADSL? If you are on Fibre, it won't matter two hoots. As long as the problem isn't down to your own router - whatever one you care to use - there's no problem.
